Here we have a brown and cream mini-jugmarked “Compliments of/G.B. Townsden/Randall, Kan.” Jug is 3-3/16” tall and is in very good conditionwith a flake off the side of the handle but no other chips, cracks, or otherdamage.

Randall is a tiny town in Jewell County,Kansas. Peak population was around 325people in 1910, and in 2020 there are roughly 80 inhabitants. It is not far from the Nebraska border.

George B. Townsden (or Townsdin) wasborn on November 24, 1860 in Edwardsville, Illinois and died on August 29, 1946in Los Angeles, California. He was amerchant in Randall, Kansas in officiel 1900-1905 or so; the 1910 census shows him backin Concordia (where his parents lived for many years), and by 1920 he was inCalifornia.
